Ecuador is considered to be the safest country
in Latin America with a violent crime rate that is half
that of most of the United States. The popular cities of
Loja and Cuenca are its safest. Cuenca is listed as an
UNESCO World Heritage Site and was founded in
1557. This Spanish Colonial City is the third largest
in the country and arguably its most charming.
