The Fantasia center features crafts, games, Sony
PlayStation and Xbox 360 for ages 3 to 12. A video
arcade at Waves entertains teens. The Library has
children’s books and videos for in-room viewing,
while the Hollywood Theatre shows recently
released films.
There are so many onboard options for kids that
the Junior Activities Director puts out daily
newsletters featuring the scavenger hunts, Twister
popcorn parties, mini Olympics, mask parade, pizza
parties, volleyball, dress-up playtime, tours of the
captain’s bridge, Trivial Pursuit, pizza-making events
and more.
The Crystal ships have accommodations geared
to family needs.
Crystal Serenity
has 50 connecting
staterooms and 154 staterooms with a third berth,
while
Crystal Symphony
has 10 connecting
staterooms and 89 with a third birth. A special
Junior Cruiser’s menu and complimentary custom
dishes ensure even the pickiest eaters are happy.
In-room babysitting services are offered.
Families can save money cruising together.
Children up to age 11 pay half the minimum fare
when accompanied by two full-fare paying adults.
Through the Crystal Family Memories program,
families of six get shipboard credits and a family
photo, and families booking with 10 guests get the

berth free. Crystal’s all-inclusive package
includes fine wines and spirits, gratuities, food, one
evening of specialty restaurant dining, fitness
programs, the Creative Learning Institute and
Computer University @ Sea.
The new Alaska itinerary is Crystal’s most
popular summer cruise for families. The USC School
of Cinematic Arts Digital Filmmaking Program is
popular for all ages.
