Junior Adventurers include crafts, movies, life-size
chess lessons and more. Teens have dedicated dining,
activities and theme nights. Night entertainment
might include a magic show or folk dancers.
The eight-day family trips offer maximum
port time in eight destinations in Germany, Austria,
Slovakia and Hungary. Experiences include medieval
activities at Devin Castle in Bratislava, a salt mine tour
in Austria, a marionette performance at Schonbrunn
Palace, falconry at Hohenwerfen Castle and a treetop
adventure in the Alps. Holiday cruises include
visits to Christmas markets, illuminated night sails,
gingerbread baking class, ice skating in Vienna and
a walking tour of Dürnstein Castle.
The all-inclusive rates include unlimited wine,
beer and soft drinks, as well as meals, daily excursions,
gratuities, Wi-Fi, activities and entertainment.
Minimum age is four years old.
AmaWaterways Partners
with Adventures by Disney
New for 2016, AmaWaterways is partnering with
Adventures by Disney to present active, immersive
itineraries for families to experience Europe. Included
are four summer sailings along the Danube River
and two holiday departures in December. Each trip
will have eight Adventures by Disney Adventure
Guides along to serve as facilitators in port and
aboard ship.
The new family river cruises will run on
AmaViola
,
new for 2016 and custom built for families with
input from Adventures by Disney. Accommodating
158 passengers, the ship has six sets of connecting
staterooms for families of five; four suites with
convertible sofa-beds for families of four; and 12
staterooms that can accommodate families of three.
Onboard facilities include a heated pool with
swim-up bar and game/activity center for kids,
