in time to watch the sun slip into the sea from the
Leopard Bar terrace.
Over the next few days African Travel, Inc. would
introduced us to many of the city’s most well-known
sites including Table Mountain, which defines the
city everywhere you look, and the buzzing V&A
Waterfront, the pinnacle of African chic shopping,
dining and entertainment. Each of these areas was
within a short and scenic drive of Twelve Apostles
Hotel & Spa.
Eventually venturing outside Cape Town, our
guide from African Travel, Inc. escorted us to the
storied Cape of Good Hope for an unbelievable photo
A fantastic day was enjoyed by all roaming
Babylonstoren’s lush gardens and tasting much of
what was grown throughout the immense property.
But the day was far from over and it was time to

Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa.
Over the past decade, Cape Town has undergone a
massive transformation into one of the world’s most
vibrant and modern cities, racking up award after
award, and most recently earning the distinction as the
2014 World Design Capital which is awarded to cities
who recognize design as a tool for social, cultural and
economic development. Cape Town does look and feel
different from the rest of South Africa — and the globe
for that matter. Its unique topography offers a range of
activities, from windsurfing and mountain climbing to
wine tasting and sunbathing.
As we winded along the Atlantic Coast towards the
hotel, we oohed and aahed at the dramatic views of the
mountainsides leading down to the ocean. Arriving at
the Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa elicited another
round of gasps as this celebrated hotel couldn’t have
been situated in a more prime location with its
impeccable views of the Atlantic.
Nestled between the unspoiled natural cliffs of the
majestic Twelve Apostles mountain range and the
Atlantic Ocean, the multi award-winning Twelve
Apostles Hotel & Spa (part of the family-run Red
Carnation Hotel Collection) is situated on Cape
Town’s most scenic route. Poised above the Atlantic,
the luxury boutique hotel is flanked by the majestic
