historic Victoria Room. The Barrott wing dates from
1925, and the Glacier wing was completed in the
1960’s. Guests in the elite Belvedere suites will enjoy
the spectacular views of Lake Louise and the

two-floor suite has a spiral staircase, two bathrooms
and open balcony.
Guests booking a one or two bedroom suite

Lake Louise does a superb job of catering to
conferences and business meetings of all sizes. The

including the dramatic Mount Temple Ballroom,

adjoining Heritage Hall whose striking stained glass
windows depict Rocky Mountain wildlife. With six

and the wide range of activities available add to the

The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise also has a
resident hotel dog named Marcus. Guests can meet
him upon arrival, where he is usually found relaxing
on his plush lobby bed. Guests can reserve walk and
play time with Marcus while visiting.
Wining and Dining
The hotel’s extensive wine list of over 400 labels and
awe inspiring views make a meal or even drinks at
Chateau Lake Louise a memorable event. Among the
hotel’s many venues, classic après ski food is offered
at the signature Walliser Stube, where warm, inviting
fondues bring family and friends together in a
congenial atmosphere. Afternoon tea at the Lakeview
Lounge recalls the traditions of the wealthy elite who
flocked to the hotel in its graceful former years. The
Fairview Dining Room garners as much praise for its

Guests can choose from a dizzying array of activities
around The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise,
including canoeing across the lake, climbing the
nearby summits with the Mountain Heritage Guide
program, or exploring Banff National Park. Summer
or winter provides its own activity menu with biking,
hiking, horseback riding, fly fishing and rafting turning
into downhill and cross country skiing, snowshoeing,
dog sledding, ice skating and sleigh rides.
