This heavenly retreat is aptly named Sanctuary Cap
Cana. Set on a pure white sand beach, this stunning
property has 176 suites and villas in 14 unique categories
ranging from two-bedroom oceanfront villas with a
private pool to a two-level suite set on a private
island. Some are swim-out suites to the main pool
and some include access to a private concierge club.
All suites and villas feature ocean views from a
private patio or balcony, silk bathrobes, espresso
machine, a selection of gourmet coffee and tea, 24-hour
room service, fine linens and high-speed Internet.
Guests can stay as busy as they choose with
daily activities, plus live nightly entertainment. Five
swimming pools, tennis, boating, fishing, a fitness
center and shopping at the Galleria with boutiques
and galleries are on offer. The Sanctuary Spa offers
indulgent hydrotherapy and indigenous treatments.
Golfers are in their own slice of heaven playing the
ocean-side holes featured at top-rated Punta Espada
Golf Club designed by Jack Nicklaus. For fun, there
are theme parties, cocktail classes and dance lessons.
Sanctuary Cap Cana offers golf, spa, wedding and
honeymoon packages. They offer event planning
services, a 3,466-square-foot Fortress Ballroom, plus
additional meeting rooms and terraces.
The five restaurants and four bars are a resort
highlight. The Blue Marlin is the most spectacular
restaurant setting in the Dominican Republic, set on
stilts over the water. Alternatively, Wok restaurant is
surrounded by a beautiful moat and offers Pan-Asian
cuisine including a Teppanyaki table with a private
chef. There’s an Argentinean grill and an Italian
restaurant, and the Love Bar to end the evening with
seductive, dreamy drinks.
