Royal Promenade, featuring jewelry, perfume, apparel,
teens and kids shops and an art gallery; the Pool and
Sports Zone; Youth Zone; Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness
Center; and Entertainment Place, a large complex
occupying most of Deck 4 that includes the main Royal
Theater, a comedy club, jazz club, Casino Royal and
Studio B ice skating performance arena. Like its sister
ships,
Harmony
features 20 onboard dining options;
35 bars and nightclubs (including Bionic Bar, where
robot bartenders serve up your favorite libations); Virtual
Balconies in interior staterooms (a live camera feed relays
passing scenery on floor-to-ceiling HD LED screens); four
pools including the Solarium, an adults-only retreat; two
43-foot high rock climbing walls; a zip line that soars nine
decks in the air; a hand-carved carousel; ice skating rink;
two FlowRider® surf simulators; full-sized basketball court;
outdoor theater; and much more. Whew!
Unlike its counterparts,
Harmony
also features three
cascading multi-story water slides that hang out over the
middle of the ship, ten decks above Central Park. Perhaps
the most thrilling new addition of all is Ultimate Abyss, the
tallest slide ever on a cruise ship. Its two swirling slides
drop thrill-seekers 10 stories from near the top of the ship
down to one of its lowest decks in a matter of seconds.
A Cruiser’s Dream Come True
Carnival Cruise Lines launched its newest fleet entry on
May 1st, 2016, debuting its largest and most innovative
ship ever, the 133,500-ton, 3,954-passenger,
Carnival
Vista.
Oering year-round service from Miami to the
Caribbean, Carnival introduced a number of unique new
features on
Vista
including the first IMAX Theatre at sea;
Dream Scape, a three-deck high LCD Funnel located in
the ship’s atrium that displays slowly moving digital
images; and the RedFrog Pub & Brewery, oering three
dierent kinds of beer brewed on board. Also new is
Family Harbor, with special family accommodations and
family concierge, as well as
Vista’s
tropics-inspired Havana
staterooms and suites with dedicated pool area.
