Carnival Vista
o ers 30 restaurants, bars and
nightclub venues. International culinary selections are
many, including Bonsai Sushi, Ji Ji Asian Kitchen, Seafood
Shack (a New England inspired seafood eatery),
BlueIguana Cantina (Mexican cuisine), Cucina del
Capitano (authentic Italian), Fahrenheit 555 (a classic
American steakhouse), Guy’s Burger Joint (gourmet
burgers), and Cherry on Top (candy and ice cream
parlor), just to name a few.
The ship’s numerous outdoor spaces include
Serenity Adult Only Retreat; WaterWorks, a massive aqua
park highlighted by 455-foot-long Kaleid-o-slide; three
pools including one infinity; a suspended 270-foot-long
ropes course; and SkyRide, a first-of-its-kind aerial
attraction where adventure seekers pedal hanging
recumbent-like cycles at speeds of up to 18 miles an
hour across an 800-foot long, 150-foot high track.
Entertainment o erings include South Beach-inspired
Serenity Nights, a Rock-N-Glow 80s Deck Party; an Island
Deck Party; a murder mystery experience; Punchliner
Comedy Club; family-favorite Hasbro, The Game Show;
Thrill Theater, a 3-D experience; three new high-tech
Playlist Productions with high-energy after parties; and
Liquid Lounge, a multi-purpose venue for song and
dance shows.
Elevating Luxury Cruising
Not to be outdone, Holland America Line added the first
of two new Pinnacle-class ships that it had on order to its
fleet in April, 2016. At 99,500 tons, the 2,650 passenger
ms Koningsdam
is the largest ship in Holland America
Line’s fleet and adds a number of firsts for the line
including purpose-built staterooms for families, and
single staterooms for solo cruisers.

ocean cruises ranging from four days to a month or more,
with itineraries including the Caribbean, Mediterranean,
Northern Europe, and Transatlantic crossings.
