Adventures by Disney Ready to
Cruise the Danube River
Adventures by Disney is excited to announce the
newest addition to its already exquisite portfolio with
the debut of all-new river cruise itineraries for 2016.
Partnering with AmaWaterways, Adventures by Disney
river cruises offer a new way for families to experience
the heart of Europe. Sailings along the Danube River
will feature iconic locations and hidden gems in eight
destinations across four countries — Germany, Austria,
Slovakia and Hungary.
The Adventures by Disney river cruise departures
will take guests off the beaten path in search of the
culture, art and unique stories intrinsic to each
European city and town visited. On this eight-day/
seven-night voyage, guests will explore castle ruins in
Germany, savor chocolate tastings and waltz lessons in
Bratislava, visit the locations filmed in the movie “The
Sound of Music” in Austria, and so much more. Those
looking for even greater immersion into local culture
can also add an Adventures by Disney three-day/two-
night pre- or post-river cruise experience in Prague,
Czech Republic.
The all-new river cruise ship,
AmaViola
, is being
custom designed with families in mind. New family-
friendly design elements include six sets of connecting
staterooms, as well as some rooms and suites that
accommodate three- and four-person families, and
other unique details that lend themselves to luxury
family vacations.
ChefThomas Keller Joins Seabourn
In an ongoing quest to provide a world-class
experience, Seabourn has created a partnership with
world-renowned American chef and restaurateur
Thomas Keller. The culinary genius behind a trio of
Michelin-starred restaurants —The French Laundry,
Per Se, and Bouchon — Chef Keller brings his award-
winning French and American cuisine to the ultra-
luxury cruise line.
Chef Keller is developing an array of dishes,
ranging from appetizers to entrées to desserts for
dining venues aboard
Seabourn Odyssey
,
Seabourn
Sojourn
, and
Seabourn Quest
. Guests will be able to
experience and taste these mouth-watering dishes
beginning fall of 2015.
In addition, Seabourn will partner with Chef
Keller to introduce a new signature restaurant that will
be revealed in the spring of 2016 on
Seabourn Quest
before being subsequently rolled out to the entire fleet
including the two new builds,
Seabourn Encore
in
2016 and
Seabourn Ovation
in 2018. Chef Keller will
also advise on various aspects of the line’s culinary
operations, sharing his expertise and vision with the
Seabourn culinary team.
Seabourn and Chef Keller share similar core values
and believe in genuine collaboration to deliver the best
guest experience.
“As in any of our land-bound kitchens, we will
work with the Seabourn team to place an emphasis
on the finest ingredients, consistent preparations, and
an attention to service that will elevate the guests’
experience and help them to make memories while on
their Seabourn journey,” said Chef Keller.
