Better than Ever
After more than 15 years of
faithful service, Oceania Cruises
will be sending its small 684
passenger cruise ship
Sirena
off
for a complete makeover in
March of 2016. In service since
1999, Sirena is scheduled to
undergo an extensive 35-day,
$40 million refurbishment in
Marseille, France. When
complete,
Sirena
will be newly
transformed, elevating the ship to
the high standard of excellence
exemplified by Oceania Cruises.
Her glistening decks will be
outfitted in the finest teak, custom
stone and tile work and her
interior will experience a complete
transformation, boasting luxurious
neo-classical furnishings and
original artwork throughout her
lounges and 342 lavish suites and
staterooms.
The “new” ship will showcase
four unique open-seating
restaurants including two specialty
restaurants – Tuscan Steak and
the Asian-inspired Red Ginger;
eight lounges and bars; a casino;
and a world-class fitness center
and spa. Offering destination-rich
itineraries spanning the globe,
including Canada, New England,
South America, Panama Canal
and the Mediterranean,
Sirena’s
reincarnation is further proof
that good things do come in
small packages.
