The most distinctive feature of the Riviera Maya is its
combination of history, gorgeous turquoise sea and
archeological zones. All of this makes the Riviera Maya a
destination that is truly beautiful beyond all compare. Best of
all it has something for every traveler no matter their interests.
Q: Outside of the property, where do
you recommend your guests go for an
afternoon of sight-seeing, and then for
an evening out?
The Riviera Maya has so many options for tours and
sightseeing, but I always recommend 5th Avenue in downtown
Playa del Carmen. This is definitely one of the best places to
take a walk, have an ice cream or a frozen margarita before
you return back for dinner. In this area, guests will find
Mexican craftwork, but also some great luxury shops. If our
guests are looking for an amazing night out with their friends,
they will find a perfect spot to party until sunrise on 12th Street.
Q: What would you consider to be some
of the top restaurants outside of Grand
Velas Riviera Maya that you would
recommend to your guests?
It is hard to recommend a place to eat outside the hotel since
we offer a culinary experience supreme to many in the area.
