Q
What makes the Iberostar
Grand Hotel Paraíso stand out
from all others of its kind?
IBEROSTAR Grand Hotel Paraíso was the first hotel in
IBEROSTAR’s Grand Collection, and no expense was
spared developing this adults-only, all-inclusive resort.
The stunning Neo-Renaissance architecture, luxurious
amenities, impeccable service and world-class food
make it a one-of-a-kind experience. Hotel features
such as gondolas from Venice, locally handcrafted
and larger-than-life wooden horses that decorate the
marble floors and indoor dome gardens give the resort
a unique flair. The hotel also offers a personalized butler
service, so from the moment guests walk in the door,
they receive a customized experience to ensure their
stay is memorable.
Q
Where you do recommend
your guests go for an afternoon
of sightseeing, and then for
an evening out?
IBEROSTAR Grand Hotel Paraíso is just a short drive
from the famed 5th Avenue in Playa del Carmen (yes,
we have our own 5th Avenue!). In the afternoon, guests
can explore the shops in the area including those that
sell local Mexican crafts and then experience unique

Q
Tell us how your career as a
concierge and then your current
role as Public Relations Assistant
Manager began.
My career as a Public Relations Assistant Manager
started in January 2013 when IBEROSTAR Grand
Hotel Paraíso offered me the exciting opportunity to
join its Public Relations team as a concierge. It was a
tough decision since Playa del Carmen is far from my
home in Mexico City, but it was my dream to work as
a concierge at a hotel like IBEROSTAR Grand Hotel
Paraíso. The beautiful location on the beach in Playa
del Carmen didn’t hurt either! I was a concierge for
nine months until I was promoted to Public Relations
Assistant Manager in October 2013.
