Q
WHAT WOULD YOU CONSIDER TO
BE SOME OF THE TOP RESTAURANTS
IN ORLANDO THAT YOU
RECOMMEND TO YOUR GUESTS?
A
Orlando is home to many excellent dining
experiences, all within walking distance of our
property. I will always ask what type of food the guest is
looking for, but if I was to choose, my personal favorite,
Artisan’s Table, would be my first recommendation.
This local fresh eatery is home to the best breakfast
bowls around, and the French toast muffin is a delight!
Next I would visit Citrus (just a short cab ride away)
for lunch. Citrus is a return back to the flavors of
Florida’s heritage with a modern twist. For the start of a
great evening, Shari Sushi would be my first suggestion
for their fried lobster appetizer and intimate seating on
their loft level overlooking the restaurant.
Q
FOR AN EXTRAVAGANT
EXPERIENCE THAT IS UNIQUE TO
ORLANDO, WHAT WOULD YOU
RECOMMEND?
A
Enjoying a show at the new Dr. Phillip’s
Performing Art Center, across the street from
our property. It also offers a unique collection of
entertainment venues specifically designed for the
theater and arts lover. In addition, there are weekend
tours of the facility available. Aside from the hotel’s
Grand Bohemian Gallery, there are galleries on
practically every block. Our mayor, Buddy Dyer, has
strived to add to our arts and culture of the city, which
shows throughout. The Thornton Park 2nd Thursday
Wine + Art Walk provides a wine glass and map of all
locations visitors can enjoy a complimentary pour of
wine within the neighborhood. For $10, guests are able
to enjoy local artists and tasty wines. Antique Row, a
short cab ride from Grand Bohemian Hotel Orlando,
provides a nostalgic shopping experience with historic
furniture pieces and local artists. Be sure to capture the
city’s skyline from Lake Ivanhoe, right in the heart of
Antique Row.
Q
WHAT ARE SOME TRULY UNIQUE
EXPERIENCES THAT GRAND
BOHEMIAN HOTEL ORLANDO
OFFERS ITS CLIENTELE?
A
Avid art collector and CEO, Mr. Richard C.
Kessler, travels the world seeking the latest
works of unique collections. Mr. Kessler shares these
works throughout all of The Kessler Collection
properties, guaranteeing a one-of-a-kind experience.
We have two Bosendorfer pianos on site, there are only
six in the world, featuring additional bass keys. Guests
can enjoy the Bosendorfer nightly and during our
Sunday Jazz Brunch, voted the best brunch in Orlando
by
USA Today’s
10 Best. We often host live artists in
the lobby, such as Stefano Cecchini and Jean Claude
Roy, giving our guests the opportunity to watch
masterpieces come alive, and learn more about the
works during artist receptions. What truly makes the
experience unique is the Grand Performers
(employees), which completes the guest experience
with the best hospitality service in the industry.
Q
WHERE DO YOU RECOMMEND
YOUR GUESTS GO FOR AN
AFTERNOONOF SIGHTSEEINGAND
THEN FOR AN EVENING OUT?
A
Enjoying the city views on a swan-shaped boat
ride around Lake Eola is the ultimate attraction.
The Fountain at Lake Eola was recently remodeled due
to a lightning strike a few years ago. Locals united and
demanded a revamp of the fountain which ultimately
led to the fountain we know and love today. There are
nightly fountain shows which are easy to enjoy while
dining at one of the many restaurants that offer
outdoor seating. Towards the end of the evening,
guests can stop by the Amway Center’s 180 Grey Goose
Lounge to take in the breathtaking skyline of Orlando.
