Chickpea
Very few cities have such a revered and
beloved food truck scene as Vancouver.
Topping the lineup of mobile kitchens is
Chickpea (ilovechickpea.ca), which dishes
out delicious vegetarian comfort food
with a Mediterranean twist. Most of
Chickpea’s ingredients are organic and all
of their dishes can be made gluten-free/
vegan. Diners can choose how they would
like their meal presented — stued into a
fresh, pillowy pita, on top of organic
hummus, tossed in a salad, or in a platter
accompanied by an assortment of tasty
veggies. From there you just choose your
main and sauces. So get ready to dig in…
you’ll be hooked after the first bite!
The Pressure Box
Owner Scott Lesko was professionally trained at the Dubrulle
culinary institute in Vancouver and perfected his skills as a chef at
some of Vancouver’s most popular high end restaurants.
His vision for The Pressure Box is to blend fresh, locally grown
ingredients with fine dining cooking techniques, bringing a new
level of cuisine to the streets of Vancouver. The Pressure Box oers
a modern twist on classic dishes, such as with their 48 Hour Beef
Stew and Not Your Grandmas Fried Chicken. With the use of sous
vide cooking techniques, the natural flavors of the ingredients are
enhanced, giving the finished product results nearly impossible to
achieve using traditional means. And all this from a food truck,
unbelievable!
