JOE BOONE
Joe Boone is an entrepreneur by nature and has been in the publishing and advertising arenas for more
than twenty years, most recently as editor and co-owner of a small publishing firm. He’s had his hand
in the restaurant and retail markets as well, having owned a restaurant in Cincinnati during his younger
days and currently is the proprietor of a small shop in Northern Kentucky with his wife Julie that is
known for its great vintage finds. An avid gardener and amateur chef, he seeks out the back roads and
hideaways during his travels, whether in the Caribbean, the Big Apple, or the hills of Kentucky.
Anne Dimon
A world traveler, Anne Dimon is a veteran travel writer and industry journalist, wellness travel speaker
and consultant, and editor-in-chief of
Travel to Wellness Magazine
. During her 20 years as a journalist
she has written for publications in the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and Asia. Dimon lives the life and walks
the talk and, when not traveling, divides her time between Canada, Mexico and California.
Margie Goldsmith
Margie Goldsmith is a NYC-based award-wining writer who has been to 120 countries and written
about them all. A marathoner, triathlete and adventure racer, she is often on the road in an exotic
destination writing lifestyle, luxury, adventure and profiles. Goldsmith is a contributing writer to
Elite
Traveler, Robb Report, Black Card Mag
and others, and is a published novelist (
Screw-Up
). She has won
21 creative writing awards in the last five years, including the
Travelers Tales Solas Award
and
Society of
American Travel Writers Award.
Goldsmith has recently taken up blues harmonica.
Matthew Schroeder
Matthew Schroeder has worked in nearly every aspect of the magazine publishing world. A graduate
of Wright State University, his diverse background in creative writing, music and Eastern philosophy
has not only influenced his professional experience, but his travel adventures as well. When he’s
not backpacking through remote mountain ranges, he can be found roaming the plains of the great
American Midwest.
BARBARA WYSOCKI
Barbara Wysocki cooks octopus curry in Zanzibar, assists art therapists in Haiti, rafts through the
Grand Canyon and let’s penguins peck her boots in Antarctica. In Cuba, she sipped mojitos with the
island’s award-winning authors and lunched where Ernest Hemingway once lifted his glass. With her
footsteps on every continent, she covers travel, art and children’s literature for
Saturday Evening Post,
American Way, ISLANDS, National Geographic Traveler, Yankee, Art & Antiques, School Library
Journal
and
Christian Science Monitor
. Wysocki won the 2004 Travel Classics Writer’s Contest on
New York, her hometown. Next stop, Switzerland, between snacks of chocolate and cheese, she’ll
explore galleries and museums.
