Hotel Brunelleschi is located in the middle, pedestrian area of the historical center of Florence, just steps away from the Cathedral and the Signoria Square, from a part overlooking the Via Calzaiuoli. To see the location of the hotel please visit Google maps.

In order to better manage the urban traffic, telematic doors have been placed to control the access to the City Limited Traffic Zones (ZTL).

The boundaries of the ZTL are marked by special road signs and have a series of ‘access points’ which are controlled by cameras that automatically detect the number plates of all the vehicles passing through. Transit through some of the ‘access points’ (those reserved exclusively for public transport and emergency vehicles), is prohibited at all times, 24/7.

Tourists in cars who need to travel within the ZTL to reach their accommodation facilities or a garage can obtain a temporary access permit , although they should still pass through the authorized ‘access points’ only, excluding the lanes reserved for public transport which may not be used at any time.

In order to obtain this permit, the number plate of the car concerned should be given to the relevant hotel or garage (upon arrival) which will undertake to forward the same to the appropriate office.
This permit will be issued for a maximum of two hours for baggage transport purposes and, therefore, only on the arrival and departure dates (a permit may also be issued to tourists without a hotel booking entering the ZTL to find accommodation).

For the rest of their stay, clients should park their car outside the ZTL, in a commercial garage or the hotel’s own private garage.

From the highway A1, exit “FIRENZE SUD”.
After the toll follow the road for another 4 km till the end. There at the traffic light turn left, and follow the “lungarni”, along the Arno river. After another 3 km the road bends to the right (Viale Giovanni Amendola).
Turn the very first road on the left (Viale Duca d’Abruzzi), and turn at the end on the right, crossing the road, ending up in Via dell’Agnolo. At the very end turn on the right in Via Verdi. At Piazza G.Salvemini , after the traffic light, turn left into Via dell’Oriuolo. Turn left into the Via del Proconsolo. From there turn the first on the right into Via del Corso. From Via del Corso turn the second on the right into Via S.Elisabetta, which leads you into Piazza S.Elisabetta, where Hotel Brunelleschi is situated.
Please note the guests of the Hotel Brunelleschi have the legal right to arrive at the hotel by car, in case the police stops you please inform them.
