The sommeliers of our restaurant in Florence Centre, Santa Elisabetta, will be pleased to take you into our wine cellar to taste wines from Tuscany and Italy in general. In the surroundings of Florence you will also have the chance to visit some of the most important wine producers and their wine cellars.
We can recommend you special visits to the wine cellars in Florence and its surroundings: from Antinori winery that produces the “Supertuscan” Tignanello, Solaia and Chianti, to Frescobaldi winery that produces the famous Chianti Montesodi.
Those who wish to spend their time tasting the Tuscany wines will be spoilt for choice because of the many wine cellars and bars in Florence.

Le strade di Bacco (Bacco’s streets)
To get the mythical Supertuscan Sassicaia, by Marchese Incisa della Rocchetta, you have to arrive to Bolgheri just a two hour driving from Florence. Here you will also find the winner of the 1998 Wine Spectator award: the Ornellaia from the same winery.
Wine cellars and bars in Florence
You can purchase the Sassicaia and other prestigious local wines at Alessi wine cellar, less than 100 meters far from our hotel. Alessi wine cellar has one of the richest selections of Supertuscan.
From our hotel you can reach very easily other two important Tuscany wineries: one is Avignonesi that produces the Supertuscan, Chianti and the many time award-winning Vin Santo Avignonesi (Wine Spectator two years ago), the other is Biondi Santi winery that produces the Brunello di Montalcino.
