Couples planning to be married in The Islands Of The Bahamas must be present in the country for at least 24 hours before applying for the required marriage license. Payable at time of application, marriage licenses cost $100 (U.S. or Bahamian dollars) and is issued by the Registrar General's Office in Nassau and on Grand Bahama Island and at the Commissioner's office in the Out Islands Of The Bahamas.
