Debuting in 2017, Viceroy Chicago, located in the exclusive
Gold Coast neighborhood, will mark Viceroy’s first
destination in the Windy City. Located at the site of the 1920s-
era Cedar Hotel, among historic mansions and just steps to the
Magnificent Mile and Lake Michigan, Viceroy Chicago will
offer a locally-inspired luxury experience with 180 guestrooms,
including 42 suites. Guests can explore modern, Midwest
flavors at the hotel’s restaurant or head up to the rooftop bar,
pool and lounge, perched 18 stories high for a sweeping
panorama of Lake Michigan views and Chicago’s iconic,
soaring skyline. The hotel will also offer 3,600 square feet of
meeting and event space. Viceroy is partnering with Chicago
developer Convexity Properties, known for their work in
reimagining the region’s historic buildings, to keep the Cedar
Hotel’s original brick and terra cotta façade for guests to
experience the city’s storied architectural past. With bold
interiors designed by TAL Studio, Viceroy Chicago is poised
to deliver a bespoke experience reflecting the art, lifestyle and
design of its vibrant landscape.
The Viceroy Hotel Group continues their expansion
into Latin America with Viceroy Buenos Aires, expected to
open in 2019. Viceroy Buenos Aires’ 125 hotel rooms and
30 residences will be designed by the esteemed architect
Carlos Ott and will anchor the upscale urban planned
community, poised to be the most highly sought-after place to
work, play and be entertained in the Puerto Madero district.
Viceroy Buenos Aires will feature a
signature restaurant, scene-stealing bar
and lounge, pool, and spa, among other
amenities to be announced. Of special
note, the hotel will feature a rooftop
experience unprecedented in all of
Buenos Aires, with transformational
spaces catering to travelers and locals
alike, all resulting in elevated lifestyle at
the heart of an epic location. As the only
hotel in Madero Harbour, Viceroy
Buenos Aires will give guests and
residents access to it all — a shopping
center with 120 elite retail outlets, world-
class restaurants, nightlife, cinemas, a
heliport and more. That’s not to mention
the hotel’s prestigious neighbor, Harbour
Tower, the architectural marvel also
designed by Ott.
